Sounds, rhythm, typical clothing, colours a lot of happiness were the main feature of the Cultural Night at the National Conference od the IELB in Guarapari, ES, last Saturday, 22 April. The Capixaba Circuit organised the wonderful programme, which was conducted by Ms. Monia Eller. Some moments must be mentioned.
Children from Tribuna em Canto Project, which works with music classes in a Christian environment, opened the night with a lot of excitement. They sang and played instruments, conducted by Mrs. Eny Bermond Ahnert, and touched the audience. The project is run by Filadélfia Congregation in Cariacica, ES, with the support of Rede Tribuna de Comunicação, a local communication network.
Conducted by Rev. Silvio Ferreira da Silva Filho, the choir from Paz Congregation in Vila Velha, ES, sang some sacred hymns. The performance of the choir was so astonishing that they got a standing ovation!
The Guará Capoeira Association brought 30 children and teens to show their skills. The richness of the Brazilian culture was evident in the musical instruments, in the colours, in the clothing and in the swing shown to the participants of the 59th National Conference of the IELB. Pastors were challenged to play capoeira, but there were no volunteers.
Many other shows took place, including music, comedy, small theatre plays, mimics, poetry and even magic tricks. "After so many days of hard work, may we all have a wonderful night of happiness", antecipated Rev. Paulo Kerte Jung in the opening of the Cultural Night.
