The National Coordinator of the Programa de Evangelismo e Mordomia (Evangelism and Stewardship Programme) of the IELB, Rev. Adilson Schünke, talked about the evangelistic programme named Aquecendo Corações, a Brazilian version of Ablaze!, from our sister church, the LCMS. The objective of this world movement is to have shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with at least 100 million people by 2017, year of the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation.

Schünke invited the LCMS Secretary for Latin America, the Argentinian pastor Jorge Groh, to describe how each Lutheran congregation is implementing and developing Ablaze! The Secretary emphasized the work in the churches of Latin America and China. He praised the way the IELB is working on it. "Ablaze! started when God gave his promise there in the book of Genesis. It was re-affirmed when the disciples, in the way to Emmaus, felt their hearts burning because of the presence of Christ", mentioned Groh.

The participants of the Conference watched the demonstration video of Ablaze! and Macedônia Project, both motivating the Lutheran christians to the mission of taking Christ to all the nations.
